Andreia Serra da Costa

Andreia da Costa began her musical studies at the age of nine with Ana Azevedo and later with Elisa Trigo. In 2017, the Portuguese flutist moved to the Netherlands to start her bachelor degree at Codarts Rotterdam in the class of Juliette Hurel, Julie Moulin and Wim Steinmann.  

Andreia recently obtained her master’s at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she studied with Kersten McCall, Mariya Semotyuk-Schlaffke and Vincent Cortvrint.  

She took part in masterclasses with flutists such as Benoît Fromanger, Michel Moraguės, Adriana Ferreira, Marcos Fregnani and Silvia Careddu.

A passionate orchestra player, Andreia was a member of the NJO National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands and participated in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra Academy (in the 2019-20 season) as well as the Academy of of the Netherlands Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras. In addition, she performed as a substitute in the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Phion and Philzuid.
