Herre Halbertsma
Herre Halbertsma studied with Simon Kooke and Herman Krebbers at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Halbertsma was previously a member of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the European Community Youth Orchestra (now the European Union Youth Orchestra).
He joined the Concertgebouw Orchestra’s second violin section in September 1990. He is also a member of the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra.
Halbertsma plays a violin built by Januarius Gagliano in 1750.
