Paulien Weierink-Goossen
Hornist Paulien Weierink-Goossen grew up in a musical family, all the members of which played in the local wind band. She went on to study with Adriaan van Woudenberg, then principal hornist of the Concertgebouworkest, at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam.
After playing a short time in the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, she joined the brass section of the Concertgebouworkest in September 1988.
Paulien Weierink plays a double horn built by Alexander from the instrument collection of the Foundation Concertgebouworkest.
