Over the years, the Ammodo Masterclass has become a household name throughout the world. The three-day masterclass gives four talented young conductors the chance to conduct the Concertgebouw Orchestra while at the same time receiving instruction from a prominent maestro.

This year Paavo Järvi presided over the seventh edition of the orchestra's Ammodo Conducting Masterclass. The selected candidates were Sebastián Almánzar (Colombia), Dayner Tafur-Diaz (Peru), Zofia Kiniorska (Poland), and Swann van Rechem (France). They conducted a varied selection of works from the symphonic repertoire.
