12, 13 and 14 January, modified concert

Cancellation of 12, 13 and 14 January tickets and priority booking for modified concerts.

Dear Sir or Madam,

On Tuesday, it became clear that the evening closing currently in effect in the Netherlands would be extended up to and including Friday, 14 January. For the Concertgebouw Orchestra, this means that for the next four weeks, we are not permitted to give any evening concerts after 5.00 p.m. Much to our regret, we have thus had to cancel the concerts on 12, 13 and 14 January.

We will be sending you a separate email containing a link allowing you to easily convert your ticket(s) to a voucher, a refund or a donation. We ask that you please inform us of your preference before 24 December. After this date, we will convert your ticket(s) to a voucher. Please note that you may still request a refund after this time.

Enjoy priority booking when ordering tickets to the concert on 15 January

Concerts may be given before 5.00 p.m. as long as those present are spaced 1.5 m apart. Together with the conductor Paavo Järvi, we have been able to organise a modified concert on Saturday, 15 January at 2.15 p.m. featuring music by Julia Wolfe, George Walker and Leonard Bernstein. Calogero Palermo will be performing as soloist in Aaron Copland’s Clarinet Concerto. Since you purchased a ticket to one of the original concerts, you may order tickets to either concert starting from Monday, 20 December at 10.00 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, 21 December.

The concert features no interval, and there is no seating plan. Because a distance of 1.5 m will be maintained between those present, there is a maximum of 425 audience members. Please note that to enjoy priority booking when ordering your ticket(s), you must be logged in to your account. We recommend that you test your login in advance. If you still have vouchers from previously cancelled concerts, you can read here how to redeem them.

Any questions?

Because our Customer Service Department is currently experiencing higher volumes of work, it may take a little longer than usual for us to respond to your message.

Wishing you and yours happy holidays, and we very much hope to see you soon and in good health at our concerts.
