Ana García Sánchez

Born in Madrid, Ana Garcia began to play double bass when she was seven. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Musikene (Music Conservatory of the Basque Country), where she studied with Pierre-Emmanuel de Maistre and Julio Pastor. She continued ter studies at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she obtained a master diploma in permormance, and is currently completing a second master's there in music pedagogy under the guidance of Wies de Boevé. 

Ana Garcia has performed with several international youth orchestras, including the 

European Union Youth Orchestra, the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), and the 

Mediterranean Youth Orchestra. She has also played with professional orchestras such as the Castilla y Leon Symphonic Orchestra, Collegium Musicum Basel, and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.
