About this concert
Carnival can take many forms, but is celebrated the world over with bright colours, elaborate costumes, masks, music and dance! Carnival was traditionally the festival when workers, peasants and enslaved people would symbolically seize power. Harpist Anneleen Schuitemaker and five of the orchestra’s string players have put together an exciting programme of music and dance from different parts of the world.
The Bijlmer Klassiek series is organized in collaboration with the Bijlmer Park Theater.
