About this concert
On Sunday, 6 October, children aged two to four are welcome to join the Concertgebouw Orchestra at Gabriël Metsustraat 16 for a colourful musical programme. A musician from the orchestra will be taking them on an exciting musical journey of discovery. There’s a mysterious ‘Sound Box’, in which secret sounds are hidden. Whatever might come out of it? Children’s Music Day is all about the very youngest listeners feeling, sensing and experiencing music.
After that, orchestral musicians will be performing lullabies from all over the world, as heard in the Shhh… sleep well series, a production by the orchestra in collaboration with Zwitsal.
Of course, tea and coffee will be available for the adults. Plus there’s drawing and colouring in the Reception Room.
The event features presenter–singer Lotte van Dijck, flutist Mariya Semiotyuk and pianist Jeroen Bal.
There are three sessions starting at 9.45 a.m., 10.45 and 11.45 respectively. Doors open fifteen minutes before the start of each session.
