Leonie Bot

Leonie Bot joined the second violin section of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in April 2013.  

The Dutch violinist studied with Coosje Wijzenbeek at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, with Istvan Párkányi in Amsterdam and with Axel Strauss at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In San Francisco, she went on to join the New Century Chamber Orchestra. 

Leonie Bot has performed as a substitute with various orchestras, including the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Flanders Opera Symphony Orchestra. 

She co-organiserd Classical Revolution, an American-inspired classical jam session open to the public and held monthly at Cafe Eijlders in Amsterdam. 

The Foundation Concertgebouworkest acquired an L. Storioni violin for Leonie Bot, given to her on loan in 2015.
