Concerts in Reykjavik and Hamburg
The orchestra’s first ever visit to Iceland, Klaus Mäkelä conducting.
The Concertgebouworkest is to give concerts in two spectacular modern concert halls.
A concert at Reykjavik’s Harpa on Wednesday 10 November marks the orchestra’s first ever visit to Iceland. On Saturday 13 November the Concertgebouworkest will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
Klaus Mäkelä will conduct the orchestra in Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, ‘Pathétique’.
The tour to Moscow, Seoul and Japan which was originally scheduled, has been cancelled due to Covid-19 related travel restrictions.
