Elena Dubinets:
‘It is with great honour and pleasure that I have accepted the position of Artistic Director at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. The rich history of the orchestra, the excellence and devotion of its musicians and conductors, the important role the orchestra plays in the communities that it serves and in music education both locally and globally as well as its long-standing tradition of working with living composers make this one of the world’s most inspiring positions in the performing arts. I look forward to meeting the orchestra’s musicians, staff members, audiences and stakeholders in Amsterdam and abroad, and I am of course delighted at the prospect of working with Klaus Mäkelä as the orchestra's future Chief Conductor.’
Elena Dubinets is currently the Artistic Director of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and previously held top artistic positions at the Atlanta and Seattle symphony orchestras. In 2018 she was named one of Musical America’s Professionals of the Year.
