Portret video Borika van den Booren
From a young age, Borika van den Booren, first violinist in the Concertgebouw Orchestra, has enjoyed a successful career as a soloist. One day she realised that she longed for a broader repertoire and for the social life that an orchestra offers. “That was what I wanted.” Watch the portrait video of Borika here.
“We are all individuals, of course, and we are all different. But that moment that we’re making music together on stage, and you feel the vibrations coming – together with the conductor, with the music, with everything around you – then you become one, so to speak. You melt all together in sound.”
