Unique listening experiences
What would it be like to sit next to the members of the orchestra during a concert? Come and experience it for yourself on 9 February, when Iván Fischer will be conducting music by all seventeen composers whose names grace the balconies in the Main Hall. In the middle of the hall, Maestro Fischer will be surrounded by the orchestra and audience interspersed. You’ll be sitting right in the middle of the music – a unique listening experience.
As promises to be the compact, intense concert on 13 October, when the Italian conductor Gianandrea Noseda will not only be leading the orchestra in Luigi Dallapiccola’s Partita, but will also be giving an indepth introduction complete with musical excerpts performed by the orchestra. It’s the perfect way to really get to know the music!
On 1 December, conductor Barbara Hannigan will be guiding the orchestra and audience on a special late Thursday evening concert. It’s a musical journey in close collaboration with the orchestra’s creative partner Pierre Audi, with leading role for the harpplaying soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou.
You’ll have plenty of opportunity to experience the music of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in completely new and exciting ways this season.
