Young 2022 has started

Concertgebouworkest Young 2022 has started! On 4 August, 73 young and talented musicians from all over Europe travelled to the Akoesticum in Ede to immerse themselves in the great symphonic repertoire and chamber music, and to learn from each other and from the Concertgebouworkest. Have a look at the places the young talents are coming from, get to know them a little and discover what life can bring after Young.

The aim of Concertgebouworkest Young is to showcase those with hidden talent – young musicians who could use a little extra support and who have lacked visibility in the orchestras of Europe. All participants have been nominated by a music teacher, the conductor of an ensemble or the leader of a school/band/orchestra. Participating means being away from home for more than two weeks, getting to know new people, gaining new experiences and being immersed in a professional musical environment. In short, it is an exciting and fun period for which the participants must prepare well.
