The new season with Klaus Mäkelä

Artistic partner and future chief conductor Klaus Mäkelä is in Amsterdam for concerts with Janine Jansen and Martin Fröst this week. Klaus Mäkelä - 2023/2024 subscriptions

Klaus Mäkelä will conduct at least one programme in nearly all of our series. Besides Beethoven, Mahler and Bruckner, he’ll lead the orchestra in music by brother and sister composers Felix Mendelssohn and Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn, as well as works by Debussy and Ravel. Yuja Wang will be the soloist in both of Ravel’s piano concertos.
