Felicitas Frücht

Born in Filderstadt, Germany, Felicitas Frücht received her first violin lessons from Ulrike Abdank at the age of four.

At thirteen, she switched to the viola and began her pre-college music education with Stefan Fehlandt in Stuttgart. 

She has won several prizes in the Jugend Musiziert competition series, both with the violin and the viola. With her string quartet Quartetto Paganino she won the WDR Klassik prize in 2017.

Felicitas plays in various chamber music ensembles. A long-time member of the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, she played principal viola for many years.

In 2021, Felicitas began her viola studies with Pauline Sachse at the Musikhochschole in Lübeck. She has received master classes from Máté Szücs, Paul Coletti, Roland Glassl and Martin Stegner.

Felicitas is a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and has performed several times with the Kronberg Academy. She received scholarships from the Jürgen Ponto Stiftung and Live Music Now, founded by Yehudi Menuhin.
