Pauline Herold

Pauline Herold began her violin lessons with Andrea Eckoldt in Dresden. She finished her Bachelor degree with Ulf Schneider in Hanover and Jacqueline Ross in London and is currently studying for a master degree with Carolin Widmann in Leipzig.  

Pauline was a member of the Federal Youth Orchestra of Germany and participated in the festival academies of Davos and Zermatt. She was an intern in the NDR Radiophilharmonie and an academy member of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in the 2022/23 season. She regularly plays in both orchestras, as well as in the State Theatre of Hanover, the MDR Symphony Orchestra and as section leader in the Staatskapelle Schwerin.  

An avid chamber musician, Pauline Herold has worked with members of the Quartor Ébène, the Dover Quartet, the Artemis Quartet and the Scharoun ensemble. Her interest in music education and new concert formats has led her to work with the Treppenhausorchester Hannover and the Ensemble Reflektor.  

Pauline was provided with a violin by Hendrik Jacobs from the German Musical Instrument Fund.
