All eyes and ears

Dance, theatre, set design, and lighting can deepen the listening experience in surprising ways. For instance, we look back on remarkable concerts featuring works by Schoenberg, visually enriched by stage director Pierre Audi, and on our Children's concert The Nose, where the audience was all eyes and ears.

Children's concert The Nose

The Nose is a performance about honesty, friendship, and being different. The brand-new work was written by composer Renske Vrolijk and librettist Sanne Schuhmacher, commissioned by the Concertgebouw Orchestra and staged by Caecilia Thunnissen.
