Jane Piper
Born in Sydney, Jane Piper studied violin at the Australian Institute of Music with Alice Waten.
While living in Australia, she performed and toured with the Australian Chamber Orchestra appearing in many major festivals abroad. She also played with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
From 2006 to 2011, Jane Piper was second violinist in the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Gordan Nikolić. She also played with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Les Musiciens du Louvre and Camerata Salzburg. Jane regularly plays chamber music in a variety of different ensembles and festivals.
Since August 2011, Jane Piper is a member of the second violin section of the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
Jane Piper plays on a violin built in 1686 by Francesco Rugeri from Cremona. This instrument is property of Foundation Concertgebouworkest.
