Guus Jeukendrup
Violist Guus Jeukendrup joined the Concertgebouworkest in September 1992. He studied with Matthias Maurer and Jürgen Kussmaul at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he graduated with honours in 1994.
In addition to his orchestral work, he is an active chamber musician, having given numerous concerts and made various CD recordings with the L’Archibudelli ensemble (which also includes Vera Beths, Jürgen Kussmaul and Anner Bylsma).
In addition, he performs regularly with Asko|Schoenberg, the Nieuw Ensemble and various ensembles made up of members of the Concertgebouworkest.
Guus Jeukendrup plays a Giovanni Pistucci from 1920. The instrument was purchased by the Foundation Concertgebouworkest with support of the Swiss Friends of the Concertgebouw Orchestra and Ammodo.
