Clara Petit
Hailing from a family of musicians, Clara Petit started her musical studies at the conservatoire of Chartres, before taking an advanced course at the Conservatoire of Boulogne-Billancourt with Michel Michalakakos. In 2016, she was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2019. She recently finished her master’s degree with Sabine Toutain and Christophe Gaugué, while studying chamber music, music theatre and baroque viola with Michaël Hentz, François Salque and Emmanuelle Bertrand. She took part in a masterclass given by Tatjana Masurenko.
In 2015, Clara Petit received the second prize in the French national competition for young violists.
A passionate orchestral musician, she was a member of various youth orchestras, including the Orchestre des Jeunes d’Île-de-France and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, and attended the academy programmes of the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris (2018) and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France (2019).
